Grease’s cast and crew promoting their upcoming show.

These days, if you’re looking for Sherri Williams, you can find her at Lake Stevens High School working on the school’s spring musical Grease on stage now through May 5, 6 and 7 at 7 p.m.   Participants of LSHS drama productions over recent years will tell you that Williams is a favorite “stage mom” and general miracle worker.  As a result of all her work she was recognized on Monday, April 18 as Lake Stevens School District’s Volunteer of the Year.

Although she would be the last to admit this, she is a “rock” in the foundation of the volunteer force that makes the theater magic come to life and the right-hand assistant to LSHS teacher and drama club director, Carrie Gerrard.

“She is extremely talented, reliable, upbeat and caring and enjoys every minute of her time with the kids and our fabulous parent volunteers,” Gerrard said.  “We just couldn’t do this without her.  She is here every rehearsal and show day while working on our fall and spring productions. It’s a grueling schedule often including weekends; she is tireless and devoted to the kids.”

Tickets for Grease are $10 each for adults and students without ASB cards, $9 for senior citizens and students with ASB cards, $8 for children under 10. Parental guidance is strongly advised.

Call LSHS at 425-335-1515 for information and to purchase tickets in advance or purchase tickets at the door.
