Rotary hosts Study Exchange Team from Northern Ireland

The Rotary Club of Lake Stevens hosted a Group Study Exchange Team (GSE) from Northern Ireland from April 17-21.
Prior to their arrival in Lake Stevens, the Team visited Rotary Clubs in British Columbia, Bellingham and after their visit here was hosted by the Rotary Club of Burlington.

The purpose of the visit and the highlights of a Rotary Group Exchange program is a chance to enhance the working relationships with non-Rotarians through fostering international relations with job related visits in Lake Stevens.
The GSE Team is led by David Falkingham, a Rotarian from Cookstown, County Tyrone in Northern Ireland. He has his own company specializing in health and safety while delivering training and development in event safety management, emergency planning and resilience and security conflict resolution. 

Other team members include Julie McKee from Moria which is near Broomhedge and is currently employed by the Northern Ireland Civil Service seconded to the Department of Justice; Tracy Rosborough from Londonderry (Derry) and is an accountant and is qualified as a Chartered Accountant with the Chartered Accountants Ireland; Patricia Campbell is from a small village in County Tyrone called Ardboe and is a primary school teacher and in charge of coordinating Physical Education throughout her school and Janet Millar from Cookstown and is employed by the Cookstown and Dungannon Women’s Aid working with women and children involved in domestic abuse.

The GSE Team Ireland stayed with host Rotary members, visited Boeing and the Museum of Flight, attended vocational events, visited Seattle and attended a Mariners game.

The Rotary Club of Lake Stevens is honored to have  hosted  the GSE Team Ireland , showcasing Lake Stevens and the Puget Sound area.
