Kindergartners from Mrs. Riechel’s class at Mt. Pilchuck Elementary School perform Goldilocks and the Three Bears for their families.

For the kids in Mrs. Riechel’s and Mrs. Volke’s kindergarten classes at Mt. Pilchuck Elementary School, the end of the school year means more than just summer fun and first grade.

These kids have been working hard on creating a play from the ground up including painting all of their own scenery and props and memorizing lines.

Last week the students finally got to perform Goldilocks and the Three Bears for their parents.
“I think the students enjoyed performing in front of their family, friends, and relatives,” Mrs. Deanna Riechel said. “They all loved speaking into the microphone.”

After weeks of hard work their planning and preparation paid off with a perfect performance.
“I loved seeing the kids enjoy themselves after working so hard preparing for this play,” Riechel said. “All of the kids memorized their lines, and I was really proud of what they accomplished.”
