James Sinning

James (Jamie) Sinning, has joined Principal Mike Weatherbie at Lake Stevens Middle School as its new Associate Principal.  James is looking forward to working at Lake Stevens Middle School and shared, “I am passionate about kids, getting them involved in school and activities and helping them to find connections to make them successful students.”

For James, it has been his goal to work for Lake Stevens School District.  He has lived in the community for the past nine years and has been carefully looking for the right opportunity to apply for a position.  “I was vacationing in Minnesota when I received the call offering me the position.  I was so excited; I immediately made a U-turn and came home – I’m very happy to have this opportunity to work with Mr. Weatherbie at Lake Stevens Middle School.”

James comes to Lake Stevens from Olympic View Middle School in Mukilteo where he served for 12 years.  While at Olympic he was a physical education teacher, chaired the Health & Fitness Department, worked on a wide variety of committees, and performed his Administrative Internship.  He received his Associate of Arts from Bemidji State University in Minnesota, his Bachelor of Arts from Seattle Pacific University and his Master of Arts from City University.  Jamie received his Principals Certificate and Administrators Certificate in June of 2009.

James lives in Lake Stevens with his wife, Lori, who is a teacher and his nine year old daughter, Madison.  As a family they enjoy fishing, skiing and camping.
