Girls Scouts Marin Nielsen, Katie Stevens, Hannah DuByne, Rory Flinn, Madeline Davis and Carly White delivered school supplies to the Lake Stevens Family Center last week.

After hearing of the need for back to school supplies at the Lake Stevens Family Center, the girls in Girl Scout Troop 40830 decided to use some of their Girl Scout Cookie money to help supply items for local kids.

The girls received support from local businesses such as Lakeside Awards, Rite Aid, Bartell Drugs and Staples.
Their donation included 10 backpacks, binders, notebook paper and dividers, pocket folders, composition books,  book covers, math compasses, crayons, pencils, rulers, glue sticks, highlighters, scissors and pens.
The Family Center is still in need of new or gently used backpacks, binders and dividers.
