Halloween is a favorite holiday for the Rhodes Family and they look forward to
hosting the Pumpkin Carving Contest at Oktoberfest. Thank you John, Vicky, Dakota & Ty Rhodes.
It’s that time of year and at Oktoberfest we will be carving pumpkins!
Avoid the pumpkin mess at home, and carve your pumpkins at Oktoberfest this year. Kids of all ages are invited to participate in this free event, while supplies last.
Hundreds of pounds of pumpkins have been donated by both Tom Thumb and Safeway.
The pumpkin carving will take place on Saturday, October 15 from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the gazebo downtown Lake Stevens.
Some of the pumpkin tops will be pre-cut for your convenience and even some of the pumpkins will be cleaned out ahead of time, so no mess!
For the younger participants there will be markers, paints, and foam stickers provided to decorate their pumpkins.
The judging will take place at 3:30 p.m. The age group categories are 5 years old, 6-12 years old and 13-18 years old.
The winner from each category will receive a pass to go through the daytime maze at Carleton Farms and a small pumpkin cannon ticket.
Rain or shine, we are carving up pumpkins at Oktoberfest. Join us at the Gazebo on Saturday and create your pumpkin for the season.
