Local kids put on costumes and trick or treat at last year’s Downtown Halloween Event.
The Lake Stevens Family Center will once again sponsor Family Safe Downtown Halloween on Monday, October 31.
This free event will begin with a costume parade leaving from the Boys and Girls Club on Main Street at 5 p.m. (with line-up beginning at 4:45 p.m.).
After the parade until 9 p.m., children and families can enjoy trick-or-treating at downtown businesses, Trunk or Treat with classic cars, getting a free picture taken at Jay’s Market, playing carnival games at the Community Center with a digital costume contest by Tigers Black Belt and visiting the “Spook House” for older children and youth.
In addition to this great fun is outdoor laser tag that is being brought to the community by Cedar Springs Camp.
Now in the dark hills of North Cove Park you can hide behind bunkers as you try to out shoot your enemy.
To help prepare for the event, the Family Center seeks donations of new or gently used costumes, small prizes for the carnival, candy, and cash donations.
This event is brought to you by the Lake Stevens Family Center, who provides community resources and support to local families. This is just one of the ways we can help keep crime rate down by providing events for the youth, by keeping small kids off dark roads and to know their eating safe candy without knocking at strangers’ doors.
