Dr. Jason Bourne announced that he will bring back the successful candy buy back program, for the eighth year starting on November 1, 2011.
With this year’s Halloween Candy Buy-Back Program, Dr. Bourne is paying $4 for each pound of Halloween treats surrendered in his office. Two dollars will go to the child, and the other two dollars will be donated to the local Boys and Girls Club and the YMCA.
Last year, Bourne Orthodontics collected over 1,700 pounds of Halloween candy, allowing them to donate over $3,400. Best of all, the donated candy is then sent to the troops serving overseas, local homeless shelters and humanitarian groups for trips to Africa.
“We love this program because the kids still get to have fun ‘trick-or-treating’, plus they get money and save their teeth! Then we can give back to our community and the troops, it’s a lot of fun,” says Dr. Bourne.
Halloween candy can contribute to tooth decay, and some candy can even damage orthodontic patients’ braces. Orthodontist Dr. Jason Bourne at Bourne Orthodontics helps kids avoid injury to their braces and their teeth by buying back Halloween candy.
Dr. Bourne and his staff will be buying back candy on November 1, 3, 7 and 9 in their Marysville office at 815 State Ave., Ste. 3 (in the Opus Bank Building).
The candy buy back program will be at their Lake Stevens office on November 2, 8, 10 and 14. That office is located at 9633 Market Pl., Suite 104.
There is a limit of 25 pounds per person with this offer.
