Brenda Lund, Thomas Toline and Dr. Jason Bourne were each honored at a ceremony
at the Lake Stevens Boys & Girls Club for their support to the club.
The Lake Stevens Boys & Girls Club is proud to announce Thomas Toline as their 2011 Youth of the Year.
Toline is a senior at Lake Stevens High School, and has been actively involved at the club for the last three years.
He is a positive, outgoing youth that has a fun personality which attracts kids and has been committed to being a mentor to the teens at the club.
After graduation he plans to attend Everett Community College where he plans on getting his AA in Technical Arts, then plans on going to Skagit Valley College for Diesel Mechanics.
Brenda Lund was recognized as the club’s 2011 Volunteer of the Year.
She has spent many hours of her personal time talking to local businesses and community members about the needs of the Boys & Girls Club.
She was instrumental in raising awareness and resources that helped support the many kids that count on the Boys & Girls Club
Jason Bourne of Bourne Orthodontics was honored as Youth Sponsor of the Year.
Bourne and his business provided scholarships to over eighty kids that participated in local youth sports programs and was one of the main reasons the club was able to purchase sports equipment, like new volleyball poles, nets and volleyballs. Bourne Orthodontics was the title sponsor for the annual golf tournament fundraiser.
