The date for matching funds in the Rotary Club of Lake Stevens and Rotary District 5050 for homeless Lake Stevens School District kids has been extended through June 15.
There is still time for you or your business to help support the over 90 local students who are considered homeless.
You can help the Rotary Club of Lake Stevens with a tax-deductible donation that may be sent to the Lake Stevens Rotary Charitable Foundation at P.O. Box 908, Lake Stevens, Wash. 98258 or drop it off at the Lake Stevens branch of Key Bank.
Both the Lake Stevens School District and the Lake Stevens Rotary Club are trying to provide additional services for the homeless Lake Stevens School District kids through matching grants as outlined below.
The Rotary Club of Lake Stevens currently has $2,500 for the matching grant, which results in $5,000 to support just over five students for an academic year based on 2010-11 average figures, not including meals. With your help, they can do more!
The Rotary Club of Lake Stevens is eligible for up to $10,000 in matching funds. Every dollar donated thru and May 30, 2012 will increase the amount the school district will receive for homeless students for school year 2012-13.
