Remember that intersection closure we’ve been talking about? The one on SR 9/SR 92 near Lake Stevens? Well, the closure schedule has changed. Again. And hopefully for the last time.

Instead of two shorter weekend closures, workers are back to one long closure. Unless the weather does something incredibly strange (which, based on this spring, is entirely possible),  SR 9/SR 92 will be closed around the clock from 10 p.m. Friday, June 29, to 4:30 a.m. Monday, July 2.

This lets the Department of Transportation get a lot of work done in a shorter space of time and means fewer lane closures for the rest of the summer.

You’ll still use local roads to detour around the closure.
