“. . . Finally, competitors will tackle the two-loop, 13.1-mile run, which will lead them out of downtown through the spectator-friendly, neighboring communities. . . A resort community in the 1920s, Lake Stevens is not only a gorgeous race venue, but is a perfect family vacation destination. The lake, which covers more than 1,000 acres, is ideal for a day of swimming, boating or tubing. Fishing is also a popular activity in the area, as bass, perch and rainbow trout are plentiful. To the east, is a stunning view of the Cascade Range Mountains, which offers numerous parks and trails designed for biking, hiking and horseback riding.”
The event will begin with a 1.2 mile swim from Main Street Lake Stevens at the northeast corner of the lake.
Come out to cheer for the athletes and take extra care when driving through the area, and tell others about the event.
