LSHS students collecting for the needy

The LSHS Leadership class is once again running it’s Holiday Food Drive in partnership with Lil’ Hungry Hearts and the Lake Stevens Food Bank.
They will be holding their annual Community Blitz Drive on Monday, Dec. 10 where students will fan out across the greater Lake Stevens area to collect food door-to-door from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Their goal is to raise 50,000 items to benefit families in need.
This annual Food Drive provides food for several months for these two agencies and is an excellent opportunity for our students to learn the value of serving others.
In addition, Key Club is once again partnering with the Family Center for their Toy Drive. This year’s goal is to collect 500 gifts to donate to families who receive services through the Lake Stevens Family Center.
They are working together with the North Lake Middle School and Lake Stevens Middle School Builders Clubs to achieve this goal.
They also donate gifts to the Boys and Girls Club of Lake Stevens for their annual holiday party.
