Samuel “Sam” Low announces his intent to run for Lake Stevens City Council Position 2 this year. As a local, small-business owner and community volunteer, he has been a regular community ‘watch dog’ at Lake Stevens City Council meetings.

Low believes with everything going on in our city right now; ”We need fresh leadership in Lake Stevens.” The current position 2 council member has been on the council for more than 20 years.   

Low has a proven track record of investing in our city. He has donated supplies and time painting the new Chamber of Commerce Office and Visitor Center at Lundeen Park and the large “Welcome to Lake Stevens” sign in front of city hall. Low’s local business is a member of the Lake Stevens Chamber of Commerce. Through his business he has sponsored a Lake Stevens Little League T-ball team, a sponsor/advertiser for the 2012 Lake Stevens High School Football Team, and has sponsored a local soccer team.

Having personally lost his home to fire and his wife currently working for a law enforcement agency he says, ”I am firmly committed to see our city provide the best quality service and safety to our residents through Police, Fire and other essential city services.”   

“I will work hard and am deeply committed to listen, serve and represent all of our Lake Stevens citizens including seniors, youth, families, pet owners, and local businesses. I will respect the needs of everyone in our community.”
Low has been in regular attendance at Lake Stevens City Council meetings and attended the 2012 council retreat. He is an active participant in issues affecting all of us in Lake Stevens. Because of this, he is currently supported for council by three current Lake Stevens City Council members and former Lake Stevens Mayor Jay Echols.
