Lake Stevens Fire and Lake Stevens Police are gearing up for this year’s Health & Safety Fair on Saturday, June 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Albertson’s parking lot in Lake Stevens. The goal of this event is to provide our community with health and safety tips for everyday life.
Communications Director Laana Larson commented, “We are excited to announce the Lake Stevens Lions Club will be bringing in their Mobile Health Screening Unit this year. This will equip them to offer FREE health screenings in the areas of vision, hearing, blood pressure, diabetes and glaucoma at the Health & Safety Fair. What an awesome opportunity for our community!”
Last year over 40 booths participated in the Health & Safety Fair, and this year is shaping up to be another great event for our community. Admission is FREE and there will be something of interest for all ages.
In addition to the health and safety information provided, there will also be fun activities for guests to participate in.
“Every year this event continues to grow and raise awareness. This year is no different and promises to be better than ever,” commented Dan Lorentzen, Chief of Police. “It is a wonderful opportunity when so many different businesses can come together to educate and raise awareness for a healthy community.”
