Lake Stevens Police Officers responded to a suspicious call this morning around 9 a.m. in a cul-de-sac off of 93rd and 15th St. SE in West Lake Stevens.
A woman in her 20s was found dead inside the home. Police officers left the residence and are currently waiting for a search warrant before entering the home.
“The house is going through a foreclosure and there were a lot of people going through the house,” Interim Police Chief Dan Lorentzen said. “We have had neighbors call previously because of complaints of the grass being too high.”
The Lake Stevens Police Department has requested that the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office’s Major Crimes Unit to take the lead on the investigation.
The death has no connection to the drive-by shooting of Molly Conley that took place on June 1.
This is a developing story and we will have more information to come.
