The Vikings captured the 2011 4A Region 1 wrestling championship on Saturday 68.5 points ahead of second place Evergreen of Vancouver, Wash.

The region 1 championships included 16 teams, 11 from Wesco and five from the Greater St. Helens League of Southwest Washington.

Seven Lake wrestlers advanced to the 14-weight class Regional finals Saturday winning five championships.
Viking champions included:
119 lb. Ryan Rodorigo, 135 lb. Kinsey Johnson, 140 lb. Steven Walkley, 145 lb. Jack Reeves and 152 lb. Andrew King.
Runner-ups were 112 lb. Eric Soler and 285 lb. Cody Schlosser.
Jesse Peterson took third at 103 lb. and 112 lb. Dakoda Reynolds and Logan Johnson at 130 lb. took fourth place.
The top four finishers in each weight division qualified for the Mat Classic Wrestling State Championships to be held Feb. 18-19 at the Tacoma Dome.
