Lake Stevens High School Drama Club is pleased to present the dazzling musical Chicago, music by Jon Kander; lyrics by Fred Ebb; book by Ebb and Bob Fosse. Directed by LSHS’ own Carrie Gerrard, this Prohibition-era musical set in Chicago takes an entertaining and satirical look at the corrupt criminal justice system of the time and its “celebrity” criminals.
Flappers, murderesses, con men, and lawyers basking in the spotlight of fame are just a few of the characters that take us on this fast-paced musical journey. The show features Audrey Fletcher as Velma Kelly, Mandy Henrichsen as Roxie Hart, Kevin Loth as Billy Flynn, Lauren Senechal as Matron Mama Morton, and Eric Zanoni as Amos Hart along with 34 other talented cast and crew.
Chicago runs Thursday, Friday and Saturday; April 19, 20, 21 and 26, 27 and 28 at 7 p.m. at the LSHS PAC Auditorium and features one matinee performance on Saturday, April 21 at 2 p.m. Tickets may be purchased at the door and are $10 for adults, $9 for seniors and students with ASB, $8 for children 12 and under and children under 3 are free.
