Students at Mt. Pilchuck participate in their own Relay for Live walk.

This year Lake Stevens is having their second annual Relay For Life  on May 19 and 20.  Many Pilchuck students, staff, and parents will be participating in this walk sponsored by The American Cancer Society.

Mt. Pilchuck has had several staff members and parents fight cancer over the last several years including principal Trudi Spierling.

The students and staff are walking to celebrate the memory of Mrs. Spierling who lost her battle with cancer two years ago.
Mt. Pilchuck held their own second annual Relay Walk at school on Friday, April 27 where students and staff continued to walk the track beginning at 9:30 a.m. and continuing until dismissal at 2:30 p.m.

Students were able to walk in memory of, or to celebrate life for a family member or friend who is a survivor by writing their name on a plastic ribbon which was displayed outside of the school in time for Paint the Town Purple.
