Gov. Gregoire to speak at new medicines event

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Representative Rick Larsen (WA-02) released the following statement today announcing his support for the American Clean Energy and Security Act (HR 2998) which is scheduled for a vote in the House of Representatives later today:

Lt. Governor Brad Owen will depart for a trade and goodwill mission to China on Saturday, June 27, where he will meet with leaders in two provinces, visit with schoolchildren and sign an agreement to promote business and friendship exchanges between his office and Hainan Province in southern China.

Around the state, eight centers providing these programs are closing, all victims of the budget cutback.
