Seattle, WA - The green power engine is gaining steam, according to a new study backed by the United Nations. It says renewables accounted for more than half of all new power-generating capacity built in 2009, both in the United States and Europe, and will continue to outpace conventional power sources. Washington's renewable industries are evidence of the trend, according to Rachel Scrimshak, executive director, Renewable Northwest Project.
