First performed in 1985, A(n Improvised) Christmas Carol brings Charles Dickens's Christmas classic to the stage with a twist!
What if Scrooge owned a pet store? What if the Ghost of Christmas Past was a Film Noir detective? What if Tiny Tim wasn't so tiny?
The audience gives suggestions up front, and UP's improvisers use these suggestions to tell an all new tale of how Christmas can (or can't!) change Ebenezer Scrooge's life!

Nick Thune, with his signature dry wit and absurd insights, has quickly become one of the most sought-after comedians in the country. A Seattle native, Nick is excited to be returning to his hometown for this special holiday engagement.
Nick performed in regular segments on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and has appeared on Conan, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, and The Late Show with David Letterman. Nick also had roles in "Extract" and "Knocked Up".
In addition to being a featured comedian on Comedy Central Presents, Nick has created two web series for Comedy Central, iThunes and NicksBigShow.com. Thick Noon, Nick's debut album, was released on Comedy Central Records in 2010 and was included in amazon.com's Best of 2010 Comedy Albums. Xtreme Theatresports New Years Eve Party! 12/31/11
This is Seattle's only fast paced comedy improv battle with 20 improvisers split up into 4 teams and scored with cards marked 0-5 by the audience. This year, the event takes place at Intiman Playhouse in the Seattle Center. Xtreme teams will perform from 10pm to 11:45pm, giving folks enough time to step outside for the count down and fireworks at the SPACE NEEDLE!
