The Rush girls U12 Swoosh team became State Challenge Cup Division 2 finalists at the Starfire Sports Complex, on Sunday, May 1, 2011.

They advanced to the finals after their 3 to 0 victory in the semi-finals on Saturday, April 30 against Crossfire Premier G98 Shull.  Swoosh was unfortunately defeated in the finals 0 to 2 by Harbor Premier G98, but the girls played tough in a very physical and challenging finals game.

The team had a remarkable year, winning the Diadora Legacy Cup 2010, first place in their RCL fall season, moving up a bracket for the RCL spring league and placing first place. 

Coaches Gary Riozzi and Walt Schmetzer are very proud of their team’s achievements and the cohesive teamwork apparent to fans.
