The police department responded to 430 incidents in the week of August 16, 2009-August 22, 2009. The following is a brief summary of some of the more notable contacts:

Forgery, 08/18/09, 800 block of Frontage Rd.

A male and female attempted to use two counterfeit ten dollar bills. The clerk identified the bills as counterfeit and told the suspects the bills were counterfeit. The couple then walked out of the store without saying anything. The clerk was able to get a license plate to their vehicle. The case is under investigation pending further information.

Hit and Run Collision/Driving While License Suspended (DWLS 3°)/Interlock Required/Warrant Service, 08/18/09, Lundeen Pkwy/SR 9 NE.

A 52-year-old male was arrested for Hit and Run Collision, DWLS 3° and Interlock Requirements. The male suspect hit the vehicle of a 28-year-old-female. The suspect briefly stopped and asked the female to meet him up the block to exchange information. The suspect did not stop and the female called 911. An area check performed by officers was unsuccessful. The suspect’s vehicle was located in Marysville a few days later. When contacted the suspect stated he did wait but that the female did not show up, so he went into Marysville and decided to leave the vehicle there. A computer check revealed that the suspect had a suspended license, interlock requirements and a warrant for physical control. The male was booked into jail for the warrant and charges were referred to the Snohomish County Prosecutor.

Display of A Dangerous Weapon/Possession of drug Paraphernalia, 08/20/09, Frontage Rd/SR 9 NE.

A 22-year-old male was arrested for Displaying a Dangerous Weapon and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Officers were dispatched to an assault with a weapon complaint, where two plain clothed Marysville officers observed a male approach a vehicle with an open knife making threats to the females inside. The suspect was located and a search of his person revealed a small metal pipe commonly used for smoking illegal drugs. The male was booked into Marysville Jail.

Bribery/Driving While License Suspended 1° (DWLS 1°), 08/21/09, 9900 block of N Davies Road.

A 25-year-old male was arrested for Bribery and DWLS 1°. The officer made contact with the driver after he discovered that the trailer that the driver was pulling had an improper plate. The driver handed the officer a Washington State Identification Card and a folded hundred dollar bill and told the officer that it was for him if he could just let him go. The driver was placed under arrest and booked into Snohomish County Jail.
