The Journal welcomes Norton as Sales Associate
The Lake Stevens Journal is excited to introduce Myrna Norton as a new Sales Associate.
Norton has extensive sales experience including eight years in print media working for both The Herald and the yellow pages.
In 1997, Norton wanted to try something different so she moved into the field of real estate mortgage sales, which she enjoyed for 12 years.
“Sales just seems to come naturally and I love working with people,” she said.
While working in the mortgage business, Norton met and married her husband Ken Norton. Ken is currently serving as First Vice-President of the Aquafest Board.
They have lived in Lake Stevens for the past seven years and enjoy being active within the community.
Norton is looking forward to getting to know the businesses in the community better and being able to share her experience and understanding of what advertising can do to help a company be successful.
“I really want to educate my clients and build relationships with local businesses,” Norton said.
While she realizes the recession has taken its toll on many, she also sees it as an opportunity for businesses to grow.
“This window of opportunity (the recession) is created by the fact that advertising is an investment, not an expense.”
Journal Publisher Desiree Cahoon already sees Norton as an asset to her company.
“I am excited to have Myrna as part of our team,” Journal Publisher Desiree Cahoon. “She brings with her past print sales experience and professionalism. I believe the community businesses will enjoy working with her.”
