Undefeated Granite Falls' As take Junior Little League TOC

Players include: Zach Rinear, Alex Benefiel, Kyle Ahrens, Alex O’Neill, Collin Fidler, Kai Orthmeyer, Jacob Parish, Russell Colton, Sebastian Denke, Ben Cassel, Ryan Putnam, Franz Mastrude, Josh Snel. Coach Dan O’Neill and Asst. Coach Tim Putnam.

Falls (undefeated) vs Pacific (1 loss to Stilly Valley). Pacific dominated the 9 a.m. game by a ten run mercy rule.

This loss caused a second game play in the double elimination process.

Granite Falls turned it around to lead and win the second game.

Granite Falls was ahead in the third inning 12-6 but by the seventh inning Pacific had tightened the score to 12-9. Pacific ran in two pulling the score up to 12-11.

With two outs and runners able to score, Pacific hit a line drive over the pitchers head.

Granite Falls short stop, Colton Russell, caught the ball for the game winning out, which resulted in Granite Falls victory of the championship.

This is a record breaking first for a Granite Falls Little League team who’s known for their history of losing by the second game in the TOC.
