Zachariah Evans is an avid fisherman. Even at the early age of seven, Evans loves to spend hours fishing the waters of Lake Stevens even saving all of his money for bait.

His dream is to someday become a professional fisherman.

After weeks of barely seeing a fish, Evans came up with a great way to lure in the fish, thanks to tips and tricks he learned watching the Fishing Channel.

He piled up a bunch of rocks near the dock where he sits and waits for the fish.

Sure enough, a fish took the bait.

“With every last bit of his strength Zach reeled in the biggest fish I’ve ever seen come from Lake Stevens,” mom Angela Evans said. “Weighing in at four pounds nine ounces and measuring 20 inches! It’s huge.”

Evans reeled in the monster fish all by himself, bending the rod nearly in half.
