North Lake Music goes Italian

November 8, 2010

Once again, Lake Stevens is experiencing the signs of the changing season from cooler temperatures and warmer rain to the falling of colored leaves.

From the blowing of horns to the beating of drums, many of us add the sounds of aspiring musicians and the aroma of an Italian feast. That’s right, it’s time for the third annual North Lake Music Booster Lasagna Dinner Concert, benefiting the North Lake Middle School’s music department.

This event over the past two years has helped the music boosters provide new choir risers, instrument repairs, instructional materials including music scores, completely refreshing the music room with new paint, and instrument storage and enabling us to gain non-profit status.

On Friday, Nov. 19 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. we invite you to join us for a lasagna feast including salad, garlic bread, beverages and dessert.

Throughout the evening, the choir and the sixth and seventh grade bands will be performing some of their new music, including a signature performance of “That’s Amore”.

This year’s event includes a Silent Auction with items from the Seahawks, Keurig, Steven’s Pass, and more.

Due to our overwhelming growth in music students, the dinner and concert will be held at Cavelero Mid High commons.

The cost to enjoy this festive evening is: $20 for a Family of four, $12 per couple, $7 for individuals, and children under five are free.
