The Everett Clinic receives national recognition

February 7, 2011

The Everett Clinic has been named one of FORTUNE® Magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For.” The Clinic is extremely excited to have earned a coveted spot on this prestigious list. This year’s “100 Best Companies to Work For” list includes some of the country’s best-known and most successful companies including Google, Starbucks, Mayo Clinic, Microsoft and DreamWorks.

The Everett Clinic ranked No. 91. The Clinic’s high priority on providing 100 percent coverage of employee health insurance premiums and profit sharing of up to five percent of pay were among the top reasons for the recognition, according to FORTUNE®.

The Clinic is one of 13 healthcare organizations nationally to make the list and one of only two medical organizations on the West Coast.

To pick the 100 Best Companies, FORTUNE® partnered with the Great Place to Work Institute to conduct the most extensive employee survey in corporate America. Two-thirds of the Clinic’s score was based on the results of an employee survey. The survey included questions to measure levels of trust, pride and camaraderie within the workplace.

The other third of the scoring was based on the Clinic’s response to the Institute’s Culture Audit, which included detailed questions about workplace practices including compensation, paid—time off and benefit programs, internal communication, hiring, training and development opportunities, appreciation and recognition programs, giving back to the community and how the Clinic encourages fun among staff.
