Press conference Wednesday March 23rd at 12:30 on the Capital Steps in Olympia
State Representative Mike Hope along with many others are launching a statewide project to seek innovation and forward thinking proposals for the future of our state. A press conference will be held on Wednesday March, 23rd at 12:30 pm on the Washington State Capital steps to unveil the 100 ideas initiative and website.
The 100 ideas initiative seeks citizen input to approach the way we govern our state through an interactive website and a series of town hall meetings called IdeaRaisers. Collecting ideas from citizens gives them the opportunity to participate in the governing of our state.
At the end of the year the top ideas will be compiled by an advisory board. The best 100 ideas will then be published into a book. The bi-partisan advisory board includes Janice Green President of the NAACP Snohomish County Branch, State Representative Kevin Parker, University of Washington Chancellor Kenyon Chan, King County Councilman Reagan Dunn, Former Seattle Mayor Greg Nickels, Director of the YMCA Minority Achievers Program JJ Franks, President and CEO of Greater Spokane Incorporated Rich Hadley and others.
