Lights and Sirens - April -13 issue.
The police department responded to 658 incidents in the week of March 27, 2011 through April 2, 2011. The following is a brief summary of some of the more notable contacts:
Disorderly (Road Rage), 03/30/2011, State Route 9 NE and State Route 204
A male was driving erratically on State Route 204. When he stopped, he got out of his vehicle to confront the driver of another vehicle. Upon confronting the other driver, he was sprayed with pepper spray. The case is currently under investigation.
Assault 4 Domestic Violence (DV), 03/31/11, 1900 blk of 94th DR SE
A 26-year-old male was arrested for Assault 4° DV. During an argument the 40-year-old and the suspect were throwing plates at each other the victim was struck in the back of the head, causing her to bleed. The victim was transported to the hospital by Lake Stevens Fire and the male was transported and booked into Marysville Jail.
Drug Overdose, 03/31/2011, Soper and Lake DR
Officers were dispatched to a report of two males caring an unconscious female out of the residence and putting her into the car. The males stated that the female came over about a half an hour before the police were called. They noticed that the female was not breathing so they carried her out of the house and were going to transport her to the hospital. At that point police arrived and Officers stopped the vehicle and pulled the female out because she was still unconscious. The Lake Stevens Fire arrived on scene to transport the female to the hospital after she regained consciousness. The scene was cleared and case was referred to the detective unit for further investigation.
Driving Under the Influence (DUI), 03/31/2011, 2500 blk of 113th Dr NE
A 28-year-old male was arrested for DUI after officers responded to a non-injury, non-block collision. Officers later determined that no collision occurred and that the vehicle had just parked really close to each another. The 28-year-old male admitted to consuming alcohol and driving his vehicle as well as a witness that confirmed that the male had driven the vehicle. The male was processed for the DUI and provided two breath samples both being about .141. The male was released from the Police Department with a court date and his vehicle was impounded.
Assault 4 Domestic Violence (DV), 04/01/2011, 2500 blk of Hartford Dr
A 20-year-old female slapped her boyfriend in the head. Officers were called after a witness contacted the police. It was discovered that the disagreement was over a pizza. The female was booked into the Marysville Jail.
Brandishing a Weapon, 04/01/2001, SR 9 and Market PL
A 59-year-old male displayed his firearm out the window during a road rage incident at SR 9 and 20th St SE. Officers arrived on scene and the gun was taken into custody. Charges for brandishing a weapon were referred to the prosecutor’s office for review.
