July 20th-Lights and Sirens
The police department responded to 715 incidents in the week of July 3 through July 9, 2011. The following is a brief summary of some of the more notable contacts:
Hit & Run Collision/Driving While License Suspended 3°/Driving under the Influence, 07/03/11, 3300 block of 127 Ave. NE
A 23-year-old-male was arrested after he committed a hit and run on a parked vehicle. The male fled the scene but the vehicle was identifiable by the heavy front end damage. The officers were able to determine who was driving the vehicle and they discovered that the male had a suspended driver’s license and that he was under the influence.
Stolen Vehicle Recovery, 07/06/11, Grove and 67th NE
A 29-year-old male was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle. An officer discovered an occupied stolen vehicle while returning from booking someone into the Marysville Jail. The vehicle was located, but the driver fled on foot. A K9 track was conducted and the suspect was located. The vehicle was impounded and the male suspect was booked into the Snohomish County Jail.
Driving Under the Influence (DUI), 07/07/11, 10th Street and SR 204
A 28-year-old female was contacted for DUI. Officers were dispatched after numerous 911 calls were received regarding a vehicle being driven erratically on SR204. A witness followed the vehicle to Haggens parking lot. The driver was evaluated by officers and found to be impaired. The case is currently under investigation by the LSPD.
Possession of Heroin, 07/07/11, 700 block SR 9 NE
A 20-year-old male was arrested for possession of heroin. The male had six baggies of heroin on his person totaling 6.67 grams. The male was booked into Snohomish County Jail.
Robbery Weapon, 07/08/11,
9600 block of Market Place
A 29-year-old male was arrested for robbery with a weapon. After a 21-year-old male reported a cold robbery with a gun and a knife that occurred four hours prior. The victim stated he got off the bus and a suspect stopped and asked the victim if he needed a ride. The suspect pulled a gun and told the victim to empty his pockets taking the victim’s prescription and his money. The officer was able to identify and locate the male and he was booked into the Snohomish County Jail.
