The police department responded to 691 incidents in the week of September 4 through September 10, 2011. The following is a brief summary of some of the more notable contacts:

Possession of Heroin, 09/04/11, 2000 block of 116th Ave. NE

A 20-year-old male was arrested for Possession of Heroin. Officers were asked to assist Lake Stevens Fire for a 24-year-old female who was suffering from overdose on heroin. The male on scene, who was believed to have provided the heroin to the female, was placed under arrest, and a search of his person revealed heroin. The female was taken to the hospital, and the male was booked into the Snohomish County Jail.

Driving Under the Influence (DUI), 09/04/11, 10300 block of 20th St. SE

A 22-year-old male was arrested for DUI. Officers contacted the male and determined that the male was intoxicated. The male was placed under arrest and custody was transferred to Washington State Patrol, who took over the investigation. The vehicle was impounded and the scene was cleared without further incident.

Malicious Mischief 3°, 09/05/11, 11900 block of 20th St NE

A 15-year-old female was questioned after she and a group of friends threw a plastic bottle containing an unidentified substance through a bedroom window. The girls were seen running from the location. The girls denied any involvement but later confessed. It was determined that the 15-year-old female was the main instigator. Charges were referred to the Juvenile Prosecutor.

Assault 4 Domestic Violence (DV)/Violation of DV order, 09/06/11, 1900 block 94th Dr. SE

A 26-year-old male was arrested for Assault 4° DV and Violation of a DV Order. Officers were dispatched to a disturbance call where a reporting party heard yelling at a residence. When officers arrived on scene, the male ran out the back toward the woods. He was quickly taken into custody by officers standing by. The male disclosed that he had been staying at the victim’s house for three days even though there is an active order in place. The male was booked into the Snohomish County Jail.

Possession of Marijuana/Obstructing/Resisting Arrest/Tampering with Evidence, 09/09/11, 9200 block of 4th St. SE

A 34-year-old male was arrested for Possession of Marijuana, Obstructing, Resisting Arrest, and Tampering with Evidence. While investigating a disturbance, it was discovered that the 34-year-old male was found to be in possession of marijuana and another unknown substance. The male attempted to flee and resist the officers as he was consuming the unknown substance. The male was placed in custody and transported to the hospital. He was later transported to Marysville Jail and booked.
