The Lake Stevens Varsity Volleyball team had an incredible week with two wins.

The game against Stanwood on Tuesday, Oct. 4 was a 3-0 sweep and Vikings dominated the Stanwood Spartans winning 25-22, 25-19 and 25-18.

The Vikings’ backcourt was firing on all cylinders with Senior Libero Nicole Carroll providing 29 digs and 4 assists. Senior Setter Blake Lamberty lead the Vikings’ offense with 26 assists, 7 kills and 3 service aces.

Thursday night’s game against the Marysville Tomahawks was a battle of skills and the Vikings ended up victorious in a Viking 3-1 win.

Junior Outside Hitter McKayla Huntley slammed 16 kills at the Tomahawks and Senior Setter Blake Lamberty provided 37 assists for the Viking offense. The Vikings finished the night 25-23, 20-25, 26-24 and 25-15.

Overall the Lake Stevens Vikings are 5-3 and in League play 3-1. Support the Vikings at their next home match against Arlington, Wednesday, Oct 12 at 7 p.m.
