L.S. Fire moves forward with strategic initiatives
Lake Stevens Fire Commissioners unanimously approved the updated strategic initiatives at a regularly scheduled board meeting on November 17.
Earlier this month Lake Stevens Fire hosted a community meeting as well as a District membership meeting, in an effort to consider additional input. These strategic initiatives focus on the following key topics: Operations, Internal and External Relationships, Technology, Administration, Maintenance, Fire Prevention, and Public Education.
Chief Lingenfelter commented, “We have developed a dynamic plan that will allow us to be flexible and adjust to an unpredictable economic future. We have a vision for Lake Stevens Fire, and our priority during these difficult economic times is to maintain essential services.” Lake Stevens Fire will continue to look for opportunities to share resources and decrease costs.
Chief Lingenfelter confirmed they are in the final stages of preparing their Strategic Plan document. At this time the strategic initiatives have been posted on the website at http://www.lsfire.org/Publications/Plans&Reports. The entire Strategic Plan document will be posted on the website once it is complete.
