Solar panels installed at Lake Stevens High School

The new solar panels on top of the Lake Stevens High School Performing Arts Center.

Lake Stevens High School now has new solar panels installed and generating energy.

The panels were installed last week as part of the Planet Power Program to help conserve energy and keep operating costs low.

The Lake Stevens School District received a PUD grant through their Planet Power program which provided for the installation of a solar photo-voltaic (PV) array panel.

The panel was placed on the roof of the Performing Arts Center and will generate approximately 5,500 kilowatt-hours (KWh)of energy per year.
