The Washington Rush G01 Black Soccer team placed first, going undefeated, in the RCL (Regional Club League) North Division A, 6-aside bracket for the U10 Development League.
The Lake Stevens girls finished with a 9-0-3 record for the season in their first year in the Rush Select Soccer program.
Earlier in the year the girls also took first place in the Oregon Rush Tournament.
“The best thing we did this year was put our team in the Rush program,” noted Coach Kim Favorite. “The Technical Training Program Rush offers and the dedication and hard work of the girls improved their skills tremendously over the year making them very competitive in their age group.”
The Rush Program also initiated a food drive this year in which the team participated, collecting 570 pounds of food and 105 baby items which will be given to local food banks. Judd & Black assisted with these food drive totals, matching the team donations.
“This was a great opportunity for the girls to give back to their community,” Coach Kim said.
The girls are enjoying a break from training, currently playing indoor soccer at the Everett Soccer Arena and look forward to the RCL Spring Soccer League.
