‘Flirt’ self-serve frozen yogurt shop opens
Self-serve frozen yogurt has arrived in Lake Stevens! Flirt Froyo, is a new frozen yogurt shop located inside the Pioneer Square 76 Gas and Food Mart.
Owner Matt Monahan said, “We’re very excited to bring froyo to Lake Stevens – there’s nothing like it in town, and it’s a great, convenient location.”
The shop includes five machines, a bar of 36 toppings, syrups, and a new seating area so you can stay and watch TV while you enjoy. Each machine dispenses two flavors, and a third dispenser in the middle mixes them together for a swirl.
Flirt will rotate dozens of yogurt flavors and notify customers on their Facebook page of the current selection. Some flavors include Cable Car Chocolate, Country Vanilla, Cake Batter, Original Tart, Peanut Butter, Dulce de Leche, Red Velvet Cake, Pomegranate Raspberry, Mango Tango Sorbet, and Thin Mint Cookies.
This new wave of self-serve frozen yogurt has been extremely popular across the west coast. Customers like it because they control how much and what flavor yogurt they put into their bowls as well as toppings.
Customers come in, pick a cup, swirl in the frozen yogurt, add toppings and then place it on a scale at the cash register. They pay by weight, 42 cents per ounce. The average dessert weighs between eight and 10 ounces.
Visit Flirt at 719 91st Ave. NE, hours are Sunday—Thursday: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday—Saturday 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
