Senior Center needs help for good Christmas

December 13, 2011

Six years ago a tradition of a Christmas Day Party started at the Lake Stevens Senior Center.

There are senior citizens who have no place to go on Christmas Day and the Senior Center provides them an alternative to staying home alone. Over the years a planning committee prepares for fantastic food, gifts galore, fellowship and fun for 50 to 70 folks.

The Senior Center is asking for your help this year. They would like to ask you to contribute for their special day. They are asking for items such as coins, cash, checks and gift cards. They would also like to have new items to be placed in gift bags.

If you are able to help please make checks out to Lake Stevens Senior Center Christmas Day and mail them to Lake Stevens Senior Center, 2304 Soper Hill, Lake Stevens, WA 98258.

Items clearly marked "Christmas Day Party" can be brought to the Senior Center. Please call ahead to make sure facility is open before dropping off, 425-334-0345.
