Lights and Sirens - Lake Stevens Police Beat

The police department responded to 663 incidents in the week of March 4, 2012 through March 10, 2012. The following is a brief summary of some of the more notable contacts:

Burglary, 03/04/12, 11100 block of 30th St. NE

Three males were arrested for Burglary. It was discovered that the males entered a garage and took numerous tools and then fled the scene on foot. The victim had video surveillance that showed the males entering the garage. The males were identified and admitted to the burglary. Charges were forwarded to the Juvenile Prosecutor.

Theft 2, 03/05/12, 800 block of Frontage Rd.

A 22-year-old male was arrested for theft after he stole a woman’s purse. An officer was dispatched to a call where a woman stated she left her purse in her vehicle while she ran into a business. A witness was able to identify the suspect. An area search was conducted and the purse was found in a ditch nearby. The male suspect was located, placed under arrest and transported to Snohomish County Jail.

Assault Weapon, 03/07/12,

Vernon Road

A 25-year-old male was walking down Vernon Road when he got into a verbal argument with two employees from a local shop. Heated words were exchanged and the 25 year-old male pulled out a pocket knife. No one was injured and the parties separated. The case is currently under investigation.

Suspicious Circumstance, 03/09/12,

10000 block of 5th Pl. SE

A 16-year-old and 19-year-old male were contacted and appeared to be under the influence. They admitted to drinking vodka and were transported home. Charges were referred to the prosecutor.

Collision Hit and Run/Possession of Drug

Paraphernalia, 03/10/12, SR 9 and SR 92

A 21-year-old male was arrested for Hit and Run Collision and Drug Paraphernalia. The male was contacted by officers after he was in two collisions and fled both scenes. The male was placed under arrest and a search of his person was performed. Officers discovered drug paraphernalia on the male. He was transported and booked into Marysville Jail.
