HF Video awards $3,000 prize to L.S. resident to chronicle her journey from cancer to the “Best Health of My Life”

March 20, 2012

HF Video announces that Danielle Priore of Lake Stevens has won its Celebration Video Package worth over $3,000. A preview of the video will be held at the Inspiring Hope Run/Walk in Mukilteo on Saturday, May 12.

The Celebration Video Package allows Priore to tell the story of how she not only overcame her cancer diagnosis but achieved the “best health of [her] life” with the help of “Livestrong at the YMCA”.

HF Video’s owner, Kate Eakman, explains that she wanted her company to “showcase and support a woman who has refused to allow her cancer diagnosis become her life. We wanted to celebrate her life, her victory, and her ongoing commitment to healthy living and felt that Danielle was the perfect person to receive this award.”

The Celebration Video package includes a video version of an Ethical Will and an “Inspiration” video, a 60-minute video depicting Priore’s life, her influences, her accomplishments, and her new way of life.

“I am thrilled that my family will have a lasting legacy to pass down through the generations. What an honor and blessing to be given such an opportunity,” Priore said. “By sharing my story and inspiration with others, my own confidence about what I am doing to better myself and others through this process is astonishing.”

HF Video, a sponsor of the Inspiring Hope Run/Walk, created a contest for participants in the race (which benefits Susan G. Komen for the Cure).

Interested participants were asked to write a letter explaining, in part, why they wanted to preserve their story. Priore was one of the finalists, writing about the positive changes she has made in her life, the weight she has lost, and the love for running she has developed since her cancer diagnosis.
