GFSB names Karin Manns new elementary principal
The Granite Falls School Board of Directors is very pleased to announce Karin Manns was unanimously selected to be the principal of Monte Cristo Elementary effective July 1. The Board made the announcement at its regular meeting June 6, 2012.
Superintendent Linda Hall stated Manns is an excellent fit for Granite Falls. “Karin has an extensive background as a principal, elementary teacher, and in curriculum development. We are confident Karin will continue to move the school forward to improve student achievement.”
Manns is the current principal for the Glendale Lutheran School in Burien. She has a BA in German and Elementary Education and Master’s Degree in Educational Administration. She also has her administrative and superintendent certification.
Manns will spend the next several weeks meeting students, staff, and parents and reviewing programs for a smooth transition.
Hall added, “Karin’s varied background will help maintain strong relationships with staff, parents, and community members and enhance the school’s instructional program. We are eager to welcome Karin into our District and I know she is looking forward to getting acquainted with the staff and community in the months ahead.”
