The police department responded to 513 incidents in the week of August 12, 2012 through August 18, 2012. The following is a brief summary of some of the more notable contacts:

Assault 4° Domestic Violence (DV), 08/13/12, 3300 blk of 92nd Dr .NE

A 35-year-old female was arrested for Assault 4° DV. Officers responded after a heated verbal altercation turned physical between the female and her 36-year-old husband. The female was transported and booked into Marysville Jail.

Criminal Attempt/Minor in Possession (MIP), 08/14/12, 700 block SR 9 NE

A 19-year-old male was arrested for Criminal Attempt and MIP. The male was seen attempting to steal alcohol from the store and fled the scene. The male was contacted later by officers when he was seen walking back to the store and booked into Marysville Jail.

Assault 4° Domestic Violence (DV)/Assault 3°/Minor in Possession (MIP)/Resisting Arrest, 08/14/12,

11900 block of 20th St. NE

Officers were dispatched to a disturbance call when a 15-year-old female, suspected to be under the influence, assaulted her father after being picked up from a friend’s house. While officers restrained the juvenile, she hit an officer in the leg. Firefighters arrived on scene, and she was secured to a gurney. While aid was being administered she began to spit on the firefighters. The female was transported to the hospital to be evaluated where she assaulted a security officer. Charges are being forwarded to the Juvenile Prosecutor.

Driving Under the Influence (DUI)/Reckless Driving/Minor in Possession 08/15/12, 600 block 91st Ave. NE

A 17-year-old male was arrested for DUI and Reckless Driving, and a 15-year-old female was arrested for MIP. Officers responded when it was reported that the male was driving a vehicle and playing “chicken” with other vehicles on Chapel Hill Rd. The male pulled into a parking lot where he backed into another vehicle. Officers contacted the driver who refused to comply with commands and was forced out of the vehicle. The vehicle was impounded, and the male was placed under arrest and later released to a guardian. The female passenger in the vehicle was found to be intoxicated, and charges were referred to the Juvenile Prosecutor.

Theft 3°/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, 08/15/12,

9600 block of Market Pl.

Officers responded when security at a retail store advised that a 30-year-old male previously seen on surveillance stealing merchandise was back in the store. The male was detained and drug paraphernalia was located on his person. He admitted to the theft, and was trespassed and released. Charges for Theft and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia were sent to Marysville Court.
