Lake Stevens Police Beat for September 12, 2012

The police department responded to 525 incidents in the week of August 26, 2012 through September 1, 2012. The following is a brief summary of some of the more notable contacts:

Vehicle Theft, 08/26/12, 2400 block of 104 Ave. SE

A 28-year-old male reported his vehicle stolen. The vehicle owner was not sure when the vehicle was taken however; a short time after making his initial report the vehicle was recovered by Snohomish County Deputies. The vehicle appeared to have significant fire damage. The vehicle was impounded and scene was cleared.

Assault 4° Domestic Violence (DV), 08/26/12, 9000 block of 16 Pl. SE

A 60-year-old male was arrested for Assault 4° DV. It was reported that during a heated argument the male squished the female between the door and the frame, until she fell to the ground. Then he pulled her out of the house by her feet and locked the door. The male was booked into the Marysville Jail.

Harassment, 08/26/12 @ 11600 block of 19 St. NE

A 47-year-old male was contacted for Harassment. The male was accused of threaten to damage property that belong to his girlfriend. The female was fearful that he would act on these threats due to his past history. This case is currently under investigation.

Theft of Firearm, 08/29/12, 1600 block of 127 Ave. NE

A male reported that his Firearm was stolen. He stated that he believes that his son may have stolen the firearm from the locked gun safe. The officer contacted the suspect who confessed to hiding the firearm inside the residence. The firearm was located and cleared from the stolen status. No charges were filed at this time.

Burglary, 08/31/12, 800 block of

94 Ave. SE

A 25-year-old male was arrested for Burglary. Officers responded to a dispatched 911 call were the female reported that a suspicious male was inside the neighbor’s residence. A description of the male was provided. A search was conducted and the suspect was arrested. The male was booked into Snohomish County Jail. The case is currently under investigation

Driving While Under the Influence (DUI)/Reckless Endangerment, 08/31/12, 3000 block Lake Drive

A 19-year-old male was arrested for DUI and Reckless Endangerment. Officers were dispatched to the area for a driver under the influence. The male was contacted and determined to be intoxicated. The three juvenile passengers who were in the vehicle were released to their parents. The male was processed for DUI and booked into Marysville Jail.
