On Thursday, Sept. 20 at approximately 4:30 a.m. a 911 call came into the Granite Falls Fire Department regarding a house fire off of Highway 92 and 85th St. NE.

It took firefighters less than 15 minutes to extinguish the fire.

However, a man was severely burned during the fire.

“The fire department consumed approximately 3,000 gallons of water to extinguish the 22 foot motorhome,” Jim Haverfield, Granite Falls Fire Chief said. “A male subject had been burned over 30 percent of his body and was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.”
