Caregiver support group held weekly at the Lake Stevens Senior Center

October 9, 2012

It is said that all of us either are a caregiver now, will be a caregiver in the future or will one day receive care ourselves. And most of the care provided is given by unpaid family members who care for spouses, parents, or other family members in the community.

The unpaid family caregiver needs support and to understand what services are available for them as they care for their loved one.

One such group supporting family caregivers meets every Tuesday from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Lake Stevens Senior Center, 2302 Soper Hill Road, Lake Stevens.

Family caregivers share, support one another, learn strategies to deal with stress, and learn about state and local resources available to them.

If you are a family caregiver—if you care for or manage the care of a family member over age 18—you are welcome to come to this FREE group. Everyone is welcome!

If you have questions contact the Lake Stevens Senior Center or group facilitator Carmen Rasmussen at 425-670-8984 x22 or
