The win also helped to tip the scales in the Vikings favor who are now 2-1 in Wesco 4A North league standings and 4-2 overall.

Tanner Krenz, a junior running guard, also helped keep the Vikings ahead.

Krenz added 92 yards and two touchdowns to Lake’s scoreboard.

Quarterback Gavin O’Neil also played well on Friday competing 18 of his 29 passes for a total of 256 yards. He also threw a 70-yard touchdown pass to Tevin Gray just 10 seconds before the half-time clock ran out.

The Vikings will play at home on Friday, October 12 for the their Homecoming game against Stanwood.
