The police department responded to 592 incidents in the week of September 30, 2012 through October 6, 2012. The following is a brief summary of some of the more notable contacts:


The police department responded to 592 incidents in the week of September 30, 2012 through October 6, 2012. The following is a brief summary of some of the more notable contacts:

Driving Under the Influence (DUI)/Assault 4°, 09/30/12, 1300 block of SR 9/800 block of Frontage Rd.

A 21-year-old male was arrested for DUI, and a 22-year-old male was arrested for Assault 4°. Officers responded when a store clerk attempted to call 911 to report a DUI. When the clerk attempted the call, the 22-year-old male assaulted the clerk and fled in the vehicle that was the suspect vehicle in the DUI. Officers located the vehicle, and the 21-year-old driver was found to be DUI. The vehicle was impounded, and both males were cited and released.


Disturbance/Harassment, 09/30/12

9000 block of 13th St. NE

A 15-year-old male was arrested for Harassment. Officers responded when the male threatened to assault a neighbor and then went home and threatened his mother. When officers arrived, the suspect denied the threats but later made the threats in front of officers. He was taken into custody, transported, and booked in Denny Youth Center.


Assault 2°, 10/01/12, 8800 block of 11th St. NE

A 29-year-old male was arrested for Assault 2°. The suspect contacted two males in a park and brandished a firearm from his waistband and then assaulted one of the males, causing injuries. The suspect fled the scene, but officers located him a short time later. The male was transported and booked into Snohomish County Jail.


Vehicle Theft, 10/02/12, 2700 block of 117th Ave. NE

A 25-year-old male went to a family member’s house and stole a vehicle while she was sleeping. The suspect then used the vehicle in a hit and run and left the car outside of Lake Stevens city limits. The vehicle was located and charges sent to the prosecutor for Vehicle Theft.


Theft, 10/05/12, 700 block of 91st Ave. NE

Officers responded when a store employee reported he had video surveillance of a male shoplifting. The suspect was seen entering the store on two different occasions and taking carts of unpaid merchandise out the door. The case is currently under investigation.
