Lake Stevens School District seeks public input on new planning
Superintendent Amy Beth Cook is looking for your input in the new Strategic Planning process for the district.
The Board of Directors has hired Mitch Everton, a school strategic planning consultant, to assist the district in the year-long process. The next step in the process is to gather input from certificated staff, classified staff, parents, community members, and students.
Focus groups will be held the first and last weeks in November and will take 90 minutes. A broad base of questions will be posed to gather thoughts about the expectations and goals community members have for students, schools, and the district.
The focus group meetings will be conducted at four different times throughout the day and late afternoon on November 6, 7, 8 (M,T,W) and 27, 28 and 30 (T, W, F). Interested community members need only attend one focus group meeting.
If you would like to participate please call or email Daloris Waltz at extension 1502 or email@example.com and let her know your interest. Meeting times and days will be developed based on interest and number of responses.
The Board and Leadership Team will subsequently meet to analyze the data from each meeting and incorporate it into a vision, mission and goal areas. The next step will be to develop strategies and actions plans to meet each goal.
