Lights & Sirens - Lake Stevens Police Beat

The police department responded to 489 incidents in the week of October 21, 2012 through October 27, 2012. The following is a brief summary of some of the more notable contacts:

Vehicle Theft, 10/21/12,

1900 block of 125th Ave. NE

An officer responded when a male reported his vehicle had been stolen out of a parking lot during the evening. The vehicle was later located outside of Lake Stevens and returned to the owner.

Warrant Service/ Theft 3°, 10/21/12

8900 block of Market Pl.

A 38-year-old female was contacted by store security after she was seen shoplifting. Officers responded to the scene and a records check determined the suspect had multiple warrants for her arrest. The female was booked into Snohomish County Jail on her warrants and the charge of Theft 3° was referred to Marysville Municipal Court.

Burglary/Theft, 10/22/12

100 block of 83rd Dr. SE

Officers responded when a female reported her home had been broken into and items stolen. Among the items stolen were jewelry, firearms, and money. It was determined entry was gained when the front door was kicked in. A description of the items stolen was given and the case is currently under investigation.

Assault 4° Domestic Violence (DV)/Interfere with Reporting of DV, 10/23/12, 2700 block of 84th Dr. NE

A 39-year-old male was arrested for Assault 4° DV and Interfere with Reporting of DV. The male suspect and his wife got into an argument that turned physical. The male pushed the female into a wall and threw her phone in the toilet. The suspect was arrested and transported to Marysville Jail.

Assault 2° Domestic Violence (DV)

10/25/12, 1000 block of 20th St. SE

Officers responded when it was reported a vehicle had hit a pedestrian. During an argument, a 47-year-old female hit her 33-year-old boyfriend with her vehicle and knocked him into a ditch. The case is currently under investigation.

Minor in Possession (MIP), 10/26/12

2900 block of 113th Ave. NE

A 17-year-old male was arrested for MIP. Officers responded when it was reported that the juvenile male was intoxicated and acting hostile. The male was transported to the police department and released to his guardian.

Assault 4° Domestic Violence (DV)/Malicious Mischief, 10/26/12, 1000 block of 73rd Dr. SE

A 29-year-old male was arrested for Assault 4° DV and Malicious Mischief when, during an argument, he assaulted both his sister and brother-in-law and destroyed some of their property. The male was transported and booked into Marysville Jail.
